Welcome to the new Antica Collection website. I am so happy to have a place now where I can share with you a peek behind the scenes of our business. One aspect of my business that thrills me is seeing when interior designers use our antiques and really make them shine!
Today, I want to introduce to you James Mol, of MoL design, one of our favorite designers who absolutely blew us away with this Houston home design. The way he used our original period pieces and mixed them in with a fresh, modern look is positively perfect!
Here in the dining room, you'll see our Gustavian scraped to original paint buffet from Sweden paired with a rococo gold gilt Italian mirror. The trick is to keep it clean and simple. James nailed this by placing a pair of early Italian altar sticks. You can find some similar candlesticks here.
Take a look at this to die for hallway, leading into master bedroom. French 18th c. trumeau mirror, Spanish rustic table, antique doors, 18th century Swedish chest with 17th c french sculpture and french armchair. Reclaimed wood floors make it all really come together.
In the wine room he used our antique French painted cabinet being flanked by Gustavian side chairs with wine barrel being used as a table. Brilliant! See our case pieces here.
Our chairs make the room so polished. Check out a few sets we currently have. . .
These Mid to Late 18th Century Stamped Louis XVI are as well made as they come. Beautifully hand carved and pegged and each is stamped by it's French maker Nicholas Blanchard. The paint on them is creamy with blue-green. Priced each....
